A hazardous material survey was conducted on all onsite structures which were abated and demolished, while 13 sludge lagoons were closed and capped.
> D&S StopNShop (KDWM) – Principal in Charge for Remedial Work Plan implementation on a state-led UST emergency response contract with KDWM. Onsite structures were surveyed for hazardous materials, abated and demolished. Remediation consisted of the excavation of 6,000 tons of contaminated soil, and the site was fully restored with an engineered parking lot.
> Alltech, Inc. – Principal in Charge of a due diligence Phase I ESA and Phase II Site Investigations on the Old Taylor Distillery, the Lexington Brewery, the Springfield Redrying Facility, and Wind Gap Farms.
> Corbin Utilities Commission – Principal in Charge for comprehensive Site Investigation at the trickling filter of the former WWTP to investigate a suspect mercury release. Facility received NFA letter from KDWM Superfund Branch.
> NACCO Material Handling Group – Project Manager of an Environmental Assessment, Site Investigation, and Remedial Action during plant expansion. Facility received managed closure through KDWM Superfund Branch.
> University of Kentucky – Principal in Charge of Site Characterization at a former automobile dealership; Site Characterization & Remediation of a lead-impacted site; preparation of campus wide SPCC plans; and management of surface water & wastewater quality programs.
